Summary of the history of Nabil Zarandi (The Dawn Breakers)

The Dawn-Breakers (Nabil Zarandi`s précis History)

Nabil’s Narrative of the early days of the Baha’i Revelation

By: ‘Abdu’l-Hamid-i-Ishraq Khavari

The Baha’is say that Muhammad Zarrandi nicknamed Nabil Azam (The greatest Nabil), has written a detailed history about the appearance of the Babis in Persian language copy which is unique and has been accepted and approved by Mirza Hussein Ali (Bahá’u’lláh). Later, Shoghi Effendi has translated this book in English as “The Dawn Breakers” with a detailed introduction and some footnotes. After, the NSA of Egypt and Sudan ordered to translate the recent book from English to Arabic and has been published as “Matali’ al-Anwar”. Finally, according the order of the National Baha’i Assembly of Iran it has been translated and summarized from Arabic to Persian  by Ishraq Khavari. Also, it has been accepted and approved by Shoghi Effendi.

It should be known that some of researchers and specialists have doubted the existence of the original version of Nabil’s history. They also presented satisfied reasons to prove their claim, but here it is not our priority to study and investigate their claims . They say that Shoghi Effendi wrote the book in English and then attributed to Nabil Zarandi (Refer to:Professor Mohit Tabatabaei, Gouhar Mag, year 3 No. 9& 10).

Nabil Zarandi`s précis History is a detailed history with a short introduction that has been  wrote about sheykh Ahmad Ahsaie and Seyyed Kazem Rashti, the life story of Mirza Ali Muhammad Bab and his fallowers. Because all the historical facts have been turned upside down in favor of the Baha’is, the Baha’is also use it as a propaganda writing.

This book was published in 121 Badi.
