Farzam Arbab, former member of the Universal House of Justice, passed away

Former member of the Universal House of Justice, Dr. Farzam Arbab (1941 – 2020) who has been living in San Diego, USA, since 2015, passed away a few hours ago due to a massive heart attack.

As you know he served as a member of the House for 20 years from 1993 to 2013.

He pioneered for teaching Bahaism in many places of the world with his wife Sonia Arbab, most importantly in Columbia where he founded the Ruhi Training system as well as the FUNDAEC educational Institute. He had his PhD in Physics from Berkeley.

Prior to becoming a member of the House of Justice, he served as the member of the National Spiritual Assembly of Columbia, then as the Continental Counselor for the Americas, and then as the member of the International Teaching Center until 1993 when he was elected to the House of Justice. In all these long years he was pushing his planned RUHI teaching – educational program

Thereby he received serious critics from both progressive and conservative Bahais that caused Dr. Arbab to leave UHJ.
