Misleading Baha’i book banned in Malaysia

Secretary of the Publication and Al-Quran Text Control Division of the Malaysian Home Ministry, Hashimah Nik Jaafar, said in a statement on Monday that five publications, including the book on the misleading sect titled ‘Baha’ullah and The New Era and Introduction to The Baha’i Faith’, have been banned by the government officials, reported the malaysianinsider website. The books contain elements which can confuse Muslims as well as deviationist interpretations, Hashimah said. ‘The ban on the publications was made under the Government Gazette P.U.(A) 270-274 dated Nov 26,’ she said. The printing, importing, producing, reproducing, publishing, selling, distributing, offering to sell, and possessing any of the banned materials amounts to an offence and will result in up to three years of imprisonment, or a fine of up to RM20,000 (about 50,000 dollars) or both.
