Baha’i Teaching- Investigation of the Truth and Tasjil process

The Baháʼí administration recognizes an individual as a Baháʼí only if they demonstrate complete and unconditional obedience to its authority in matters concerning the Baháʼí community. This condition is affirmed through the signing of the following declaration, known as the “Tasjil” form, which is reviewed and approved by Baháʼí Assemblies and leadership as part of an administrative process.

Only then the individual will be granted permission to participate in the official Baháʼí gatherings:

“ By this formal declaration, I confess and affirm with my tongue and heart my faith and belief in the sacred Baha’i Faith as follows: Full recognition of the position of His Holiness (Ali Muhammad Bab Shirazi) as the Herald, of the position of Baha’u’llah (Mirza Husayn Ali Nouri) as the Lawgiver, and of the position of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá (Abbas Effendi) as the supreme exponent and exemplar of this Cause, and unconditional obedience and acceptance of all the works revealed from His blessed relics, and strict and sincere adherence to the entire will of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, and complete adherence to the spirit and form of the present administrative principles of the Baha’i Faith throughout the world.

I request the Bahá’í community to allow me to register my name in the Baha’i Register of Records.”
